We’re less than 4 days from leaving for Grand Nationals.  OMG I’m totally freaking out … you know, just a bit.

  • What are we to expect?
  • What’s it like?
  • Will there be Grand Celebration or Crushing Defeat?
  • What the heck do we do for Thanksgiving dinner?
  • What if we miss our gate, practice or a super special vender deal?
  • Do we need multiple changes of gear?
  • What the heck is the Pit and why are people reserving it?

AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

Here’s the thing, I’m high strung if you know me.  There’s enough energy coursing through this body to keep a small village lit for weeks.  Sleep is slowly evading me the more that piles into the old list generator.  But I’m cool with it.

We’ve pretty much came to the conclusion that we’re going to just play it cool.  (Yea right).  We’re not expecting the B-Man to make it past the 1st round.  If he does and makes it to a 1/8 or 1/16 or semi or whatever, it’ll be gravy.  It’s just going to be awesome to go and see the spectacle.

By the way, how the heck are they going to get everything done.  Is everyone in an 1/8?  Will the have 1/32nds?  WHO KNOWS!!!!

I got a bike lock, thanks Bill for the heads up.  Got extra tubes, gear, stuff for the bike.  But now we’re on to packing.  Hrmph.  We’re staying in the family trailer at the RV park, which means we have to pack judiciously.  Not an easy task for a high maintenance family.

Oh well, I guess I just need the overwhelming, all encompassing, take up most of my daily thoughts panic take over so I can get over it.

Looking forward to seeing some of the amazingly helpful and friendly faces form the CO BMX scene.  Pedal 2 the Medal.  Eli , Team BLAZE, Team Robbins and Team Dacono as well.  Beckham especially is looking forward to seeing the gang.

But not as much as our little crew, DUFFY/COCHRAN/DAVIS … let’s bring home some sparkly stuff.

See you at Grands ya’ll!
