The USA BMX World converged on to the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in East Monroe, LA for another exciting episode of the 2013 National Series. The 2013 Dixieland Nationals turned out to be another record-breaking turnout for USA BMX - and along with it, as usual, came some incredible race action. You'll have to wait until the next issue of PULL magazine to read more - but for now, here are some photo highlights from the weekend...
They say everything is bigger in Texas. If you were talking about the moto count, Saturday was the biggest ever at 286. If you’re talking about dark storm clouds and 30 mph winds, they were also big.
With over 250 motos, the 2013 Great Northwest Nationals saw some incredible action throughout the weekend. The USA BMX crew built a great track inside the Hooker Creek Arena at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds. Here are some highlights for your viewing pleasure. All photos by MIKE ALBRIGHT.
Under the typical warm and sunny skies of Florida, this years Gator Nationals saw another incredible track design with more elevation changes than a downhill course. Check out the photo gallery from Saturday's action:
The 2013 Winter Nationals, with 335 motos and nearly half of the entire Olympic field, was chock full of incredible racing. Here is just a bite-size portion of the action that went down at Black Mountain BMX.
The 2013 WINTERNATIONALS - held in Phoenix on March 1st, at the infamous Black Mountain BMX track, will play host this year to the USA Cycling Collegiate Championships. The collegiate class is a Challenge/20” class, which will take place Saturday, March 2 at Black Mountain BMX. Collegiate riders will practice with their respective age groups on Friday and Saturday. While "most" normal Americans are celebrating Thanksgiving by stuffing their gut with mash 'taters and turkey, the BMX population has traditionally spent their 4-day weekend in Tulsa. ...at the QT Center, to be precise.
