Two moto transfer and opens! Starting this Saturday, we are going to start using 2-moto transfers to make room for running open classes as well! Adding open classes will allow riders an opportunity to race other riders they may never face in class motos.  Open motos are based on 6 and under, then 7/8yrs old, then 9/10 yrs old and so on whereas class motos are based on a single year of age, then proficiency (novice, intermediate, expert).  Open motos do not however award district ...

  • Nothing to do today...

So, there is absolutely nothing to do today due to the ice.  So I'm reflecting on the start to the race season.  So far we've had a couple of races, several new riders trying the sport that we love.  Track was in great shape Saturday; starting to get dialed in and fast.  Also, the fence was put up this last week.  When we left Saturday after races, we locked the gate around the track keeping it safe and sound until it dries out enough to work. Also, the Redlin...

  • Thank you to local Chambers of Commerce!

We at Cabot BMX just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to our friends at local Chambers of Commerce in surrounding cities.  These cities have allowed us to advertise our great sport of BMX on their websites with no problems at all.  Thank you on behalf of our riders and parents for helping grow the sport of BMX in central Arkansas! Current list of supporting Chambers of Commerce, with more approvals still pending : City of Cabot, City of Beebe, City of Conway.  Tha...

  • The waiting game....

Well folks, right now we are just playing the waiting game with Mother Nature.  New dirt has been added to reshape and relip the obstacles, two straights have been raked and rolled a couple times and are pretty smooth but the other two straights are still just dirt piled up.  If we can get another good dry day and a day or two to rake and roll, we'll be racing.  So for now, just sit tight, we'll have it ready to go ASAP.  It would be better to get the track complet...

  • Moving dirt, reshaping, GETTING READY

This last weekend we spent some time at the track refacing obstacles.  Quite a bit of dirt has been added to reshape the faces and care is being taken to relip everything so you can boost obstacles if you wish, or roll over them if you don't.  Several inches have been added to a few lips for a nice pitch as well as reshaped for a smoother flow up and over.  As soon as weather permits, we will work the surfaces and get them glassy.  Some recent equipment changes will al...

  • Looking forward to 2014!

At Cabot BMX we are already making plans for the 2014 season, there are a lot of good things to come!  We are working with surrounding towns to help bring in new riders and boost moto counts, working on some ideas for special races both at Cabot BMX and in conjunction with Bonzai.  It's going to be a killer season, just hold on tight!
