The inaugural USA BMX Eastern Divisional Finals took place at the Bluegrass Nationals in Louisville, KY - over Labor Day weekend. The historic track located within EP Tom Sawyer State Park hosted yet another fabulous event.

To become a winner of the Eastern Divisional Final - and receive a custom-made USA BMX Eastern Champ jersey, riders began with their best 6 scores from the national season, and then added to it their three finishes from Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

With the constant threat of rain from the remnants of Hurricane Issac, the pressure was on and riders were kept up to date each morning on where they stood in the Divisional Finals. By the time main events crossed the muddy finish line on Sunday, points were added up to decide who would win the custom blue jersey. There were plenty of upsets, spills and some great come-from-behind mains that lobbed the points in a rider's favor.
