Justin Posey, Sabrina Bice win at Collegiate BMX Nationals; Marian takes team title

Student athletes from around the nation gathered in Monroe, La. over the weekend for the USA Cycling Collegiate BMX National Championships which were held in conjunction with the USA BMX Cajun Nationals.

Justin Posey, Sabrina Bice win at Collegiate BMX Nationals; Marian takes team title 

Monroe, La. (March 12, 2017) – Student athletes from around the nation gathered in Monroe, La. over the weekend for the USA Cycling Collegiate BMX National Championships which were held in conjunction with the USA BMX Cajun Nationals.

Marian University won the team omnium for the fifth consecutive year while Lindsey Wilson College came in second and Colorado Mesa University placed third.

The individual titles went to Justin Posey (Marian University) and Sabrina Bice (Lindsey Wilson College) for the best overall performances after two days of racing.

On Saturday, Posey beat out Collin Hudson (Colorado Mesa University) and Alec Bob (Marian University) in the main event and then on Sunday crossed the line first again, this time ahead of Bob in second and Dustin Hammond (Lindsey Wilson College) in third.

Like Posey, Bice also won on both Saturday and Sunday. On the first day, she edged out Jamie Windholz(Marian University) and Elida Beeman (Lindsey Wilson College) Sunday saw her wrap up her overall title with another win over Windholz while third place on day two went to Kaeli Lixandru.
