20,000 Point Club from 2021

Looking back on the 2021 District season, USA BMX saw more riders join the illustrious 20k Club than in the past five years. Please welcome these eleven riders to the 20,000 Points Club.

Not since 2016 have we seen so many members added to the famed 20k Club

Last year's race season saw eleven BMXers tally up over 20,000 points in a single season. In all, we had three Amateur Boys, four Cruiser riders and four fast ladies earn over 20k in their District. Breaking it down by State, over half of them hail from California; proving that Cali is still home to a thriving local BMX scene. Oregon, Ohio, Texas and Minnesota rounded out the other locations.

Among the 20k Club are two from last year - the super quick Theisen Bros., Lucas and Jacob. Together, the two MN-06 rippers racked up over 44,000 points in their chase to become District No.1!

Congratulations to the following riders:

CA-11 Rowdy Holzer 23,487 Boys
OR-01 Shane Huntoon 22,701 Cruiser
MN-06 Lucas Theisen 22,432 Boys
CA-04 Ryan Montana 21,826 Cruiser
MN-06 Jacob Theisen 21,750 Boys
OH-02 Gavin Tonn 21,479 Cruiser
CA-16 Olivia Alvidrez 21,330 Girls
CA-22 Vida DeVera 20,717 Girls
TX-01 Natalia Kovacs 20,461 Girls
CA-16 Scott Angus 20,191 Cruiser
CA-02 Charlie Gay 20,069 Girls

Most impressive, however, has to be the Top-2 20k'ers - Rowdy Holzer and Shane Huntoon. On top of totaling up 23,487 points, Rowdy also wrapped up his year as National No.2 and NAG No.1 (in Cruiser) and National No.35 (on 20").
And then there is Oregonian Huntoon and California's Scott Angus, who both incredibly scored enough points on their cruisers to gain their exclusive 20k Club membership. What's so amazing about that, you ask?! They are both 58 years young - which we beleive ties them for being the oldest members to the 20k Club.

Brent "Pee Wee" Lee - the all-time points leader in BMX, presumed president and multi-time member of the 20k Club, would be proud of them all.
