State & Provincial Single Point Deadline Extended

As previously announced, in the 2024 Rulebook release, was a revamp of the State/Provincial Championship Series, where we are now counting the scores of a rider’s best 8 single point races (within that rider's state/province) using the State/Provincial Points Table. That means that each single point race is worth 20 points for an Expert win.

Certainly, this change can dramatically affect points earned for the series and therefore affect how riders qualify for the Race Of Champions (ROC) as well determining a rider’s ranking in the series.

Due to the importance of these races, the team at USA BMX / BMX Canada have analyzed the current depth of single point races around the country and heard the voices of many track operators that have been impacted by late spring weather and numerous cancellations to single point local events.

In an effort to help riders maximize their single point participation, we have extended the deadline to receive single point races to August 1st, 2024.   We encourage all riders and tracks to maximize their racing over the next 45 days to better your position in the state ranking.

As a reminder, tracks will need to electronically submit their TORF’s ASAP after August 1st, so we can facilitate the points for riders.   We have made this extension in an effort to help tracks that have suffered from weather cancellations, but we need the cooperation of all tracks hosting late July races to submit their races appropriately and avoid delays with points.

We will require races hosted on or prior to August 1st to submit their race by August 5th, 2024!  Any races submitted after that date are subject to riders not receiving points for those races.
