The excitment was high as the main events began to load into the gate for the 2022 UCI BMX Racing World Championships. Main after Main we saw the international domination cross the line, however, that all changed once the Elite Women command began.

Aboard her Answer/Ssquared ride, Stancil shot out of gate 5 with her USA teammate Alise Willoughby in gate 3. Down the first straight, the 23 bike pulled away from the competition into the first turn which launched Team USA fans in attendance and watching back home to their feet.

Holding strong around the entire track, the 2021 USA BMX National No. 1 Women Pro saw nothing but open track and a rainbow jersey in her sights. With a late charge from Switzerland's Zoe Claessens, Felica kept the power going down the last straight to inch out the win by 0.010 seconds. Across the line the 23 bike was in disbelief. Coming back from the worst injury in her career at the start of the season, Felicia Stancil shows her true grit and determination to overcome and dominate on the world stage.
