I was coming off a pretty awesome weekend in Rockford and was looking forward to the races in Rhinelander. This was also my birthday weekend. I turned 10 on Sunday, August 7th. I was nervous about racing 10 year olds, but knew that I could hang with them. Friday I rode up with some friends (Parker Foster) and we went to the campground. My parents got there and were like "how come you aren't at the track?" I didn't realize that practice had already started so we hurried up and got to the track to practice and race. It was a Relay for Life/Badger State Games race. I took home first that night and qualified for the State Games of America race in Michigan next year. Saturday came and it was a big state race. I was looking to move up in state points. My Aunt Julie and Uncle Troy rode their motorcyle over 300 miles one way to come and watch me race that day. I qualified for the main in my first moto and took 1st that day too! Now, the kicker. I turned 10 the next day so I had to race 10 year olds. I was ready to see what I could do. You wouldn't believe it but I took first that day too!! What a great birthday present to myself! (3) first place finishes in 3 days!
