Sept. 14th 2019

I was racing in the North Central region Gold Cup final in Evansville, Indiana. I was in first place in the standing for 9 year old Intermediates by 2 points. I was in the largest group of the day (19 riders!) and went to my first Semi-final. I was sitting in first place in the semi final when i hit a jump hard and became unclipped. I swerved left to right and almost off of the track but eventually found my footing. By this point, the race was half over and I was in last place. I had to make up 4 spots in a hurry or I wouldnt qualify for the main. I was flying on the track and finished 3rd, qualifying for the main! In the main event, it was a razor close race at the finish line and i won by half a tire! With this win, it was my 5th title win which put me into expert class. Because of the move in class my 1st place standing in 9 year old inter was no more, and i was now in a 4 way tie for second in expert. I finished 5th in my first expert race, but unfortunately did not end up with a Gold Cup plate. I will be back next year!!
