Wow what a great 2 days of racing at Oldsmar BMX. Saturday was a All Star qualifier and I got 1st place, and Sunday was a state race/All Star qualifier and I managed to get 2nd place in the main. I was lucky to get 2nd place my brake developed a fault and locked up the back wheel, thankfully I managed to keep 2nd as i crossed the line. The break spring came off and locked up the break making it really hard to pedal. After the race I bent the spring slightly to add more tension and used a cable tie to fix it in place so hopefully it won't happen again.

I'm now looking forward to the next 2 qualifiers that are in St. Augsutine at First Coast BMX on July 15 and 16, then onto Orlando BMX on August 12 for the last qualifier and then the All Star Final/state race on August 13. You need to race 5 of the 7 qualifiers to race compete for a trophy in the All Star series. I'm really looking forward to racing some of the guys outside my local distrct FL01.
