Frequently Asked Questions

PARKING:

GENERAL PARKING: All general parking is across the street at the UNM Football Stadium parking lot.  No on street parking is allowed in the neighborhood.  There are a few handicap parking spaces located on the track side of the street, note these are not reserved spaces and require both a handicap placard and a BMX parking pass.  General Parking passes are $10 per day or $30 for the weekend and will be sold starting Thursday during practice and at the entrance of the parking lot on Friday - Sunday. Please be ready to keep the flow of traffic moving. If pulling a trailer, 2 parking passes will be required. Parking attendants will direct you where to go. Note there are no drop-offs or pick-ups allowed in the parking lot. Uber or similar driving services and delivery services must drop off and pick-up on Buena Vista Dr. Handicap parking is available and the parking lot attendant will direct you to the proper area. We have golf cart shuttles running regularly throughout the event. Parking attendants can call for a shuttle for you if needed. Please be patient and kind to the parking attendants and follow the rules so everyone can have a safe enjoyable experience. Bikes are flying around everywhere, please be careful and drive slow!!  We would like to thank our local Shriners for manning our parking lot for us.  There will be a courtesy shuttle to the track for those who need it.

VIP PARKING:  We will be offering prepaid VIP parking in our parking lot.  These are numbered spaces and you will be guaranteed your spot for each day of the event.  These spaces will be offered on a first come basis using an online signup system.  More information will be posted on our Facebook page including when the sale of these spaces will be live along with a drawing showing the available spaces.

CAMPING: RV camping is available in the parking lot directly west of our facility. RV registration is recommended this year.  The reservation form is found on our website at dukecitybmx.org under the Spring National RV Reservation tab. You may also use this link to access our square payment site. http://duke-city-bmx.square.site/ , this information is found on the reservation form also.  You must park where directed.  Please place all trash in the trash trailer that is located in the parking lot.  Every registered RV will receive a detailed email from the track with directions including a map of the parking lot.  It is very important that all RV’s enter the lot where indicated to prevent scraping or bottoming out.  The RV lot will be open for parking starting on Wednesday evening.  All RV’s must vacate the lot no later than Monday, May 27th.

NOTE:  Parking will be enforced.  Any vehicle parked without a parking permit will be towed by the CNM police.  If your vehicle is towed you can get information about the retrieval at signups.

PRACTICE:

Friday practice is hosted by and scheduled by USABMX. You must check-in with USABMX at the staging area to get a practice sticker before entering staging. See the USABMX event flier for Friday practice schedule. Practice is not offered on Saturday or Sunday.
