Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) has changed their access guidelines and this affects access to the track. We have been working with the JBCC personnel since becoming aware of these changes, and while we have made headway in getting the new access guidelines in place, it is still a work in progress.
As of May 1, 2015, every OPERATOR of any vehicle must have a BACKGROUND CHECK as well as a JBCC photo ID card. You can view the JBCC Access Control pamphlet here.
If you need a pass for a single day, you may obtain one at the Bourne Gate for access to the track. They may also extend the one day pass upon request.
If you had a photo ID access card last year, fill out the form found here. JBCC will run the background check and automatically issue a new card. You will not need to go in for another photo. We will mail your new JBCC Access Card to you.
If you have not had a JBCC Access Card, please complete the form found here. In submitting the form, you are agreeing to a background check. Once we receive your information, we will forward it to the military office for processing. They will then let us know if you have or have not been approved. If you are not approved, they will not tell us the reason. Once you are approved, you then must go to the Welcome Center, by appointment only, for your JBCC Photo ID card. Please DO NOT contact the JBCC Welcome Center directly, as all forms must go through Cape Cod BMX first.
This process will take 1-3 weeks, so timing is going to be everything! We ask that you please follow the protocol and start the process as soon as possible so that you and your riders are all set for the start of the season.
Please, take a moment and submit your information now. Know a friend who loves to race at Cape Cod BMX? Share this important information with him or her! Thanks for bearing with us as we all adjust to these new regulations.
