We are extremely saddened and sorry to announce that the Bikes and Beers Virginia Beach event this Saturday has been cancelled due to our event permit being denied by the City of Virginia Beach. Please do not place blame on the brewery (Green Flash) as this was out of their control. 

We have held over 25 events in various cities across the country and have never had this occur. We were notified this past Friday and have been working around the clock to try and get something done to have the ride go on - but it turns out that is not possible. 

All registered riders will receive a full refund. (registration and additional purchases)

As a consolation - we have 2 events coming up in Philadelphia, PA and Milton, DE. If you would like to ride in either - use the coupon code "VB10" for $10 off either of those rides.

Hey folks, 

We have been presented an opportunity to be the beneficiary of a charitable contribution for the track in exchange of some volunteer time on Saturday Sept 23rd. The event is called Bikes and Beers and will be hosted at Green Flash Brewery in VA Beach.

The Tidewater Bicycle Association was originally going to be the beneficiary. However due to other commitments the TBA is not able to provide volunteers for the event. Bikes and Beers has contacted us and would like to make us the charitable organization!

We would need a total of 8-10 people split up into 3 different shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 2:30pm.

Registration/Check-In - (3-4 people) 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM

Rest Stop - (2 people) 9:30 - 12:00 (Would help if one had an SUV or Truck to pick up materials)

Post Ride - (4 people) 10:30 - 2:00

Ride Leaders - (4 people) 2 at 9:00 (30 mile ride), 2 at 10:00 (15 mile ride)

 

We can also set up a tent and promote HamptonBMX while we're there!  Please let us know if you can commit to being there. All volunteers are welcome to attend the after ride party. If you like to ride please feel free to sign up for the event too, volunteers ride free!
