  • December 5th Race Canceled

Sorry folks, we are canceling tomorrow’s race as the odds are against us. 1” of rain throughout the night coupled with 50 degree temps do not lend to a dry track. Although the 20-30mph winds might help, we doubt anyone wants to race in that kind of wind. Looked at pushing it later but mid-upper 30 degrees with wind is not fun... and we are all about fun! See Y'all next Tuesday!

  • 11/14 Race Canceled

Forecast is not looking good for the track to dry out by Saturday. Wind speed forecast have increased which will help but the overcast skies and cooler temps on Friday and Saturday will make it difficult for the track to dry out in time to work on it and have it race ready. Due to that uncertainty and the pre-registration process that is in place, we are going to cancel this Saturdays race. For all that have pre-registered, thank you, we have issued a refund. VMP-BMX will be ra...

  • Local Racing and SQR update

As we entered into Phase III and the increased capacity of gatherings from 50 to 250 people, we were ery excited about getting back to racing last week.     However, as we were discussing plans for our SQR with the city, we were informed that with the recent regional spikes in cases over the past few days, the city of Hampton is taking a more conservative approach.  In hopes of minimizing the spread of the virus, the max gathering capacity will go back to 50 unt...

  • Update on June 6th and 7th events

Well folks, The Hampton Parks and Rec Department fought hard for us to reopen to running events, and they were successful to an extent, however they have been told we as a track must adhere to the Governor's Executive Orders of having no more than 50 people at the facility.  With that said, the only thing remotely possible is block racing. The block racing guidelines will not work for us at this time as it will not allow our new riders and families to experience the racing atmosph...
