What a crazy racing season it has been.  From the very start to this very day I know every track has been jumping through Mother Natures tantrums this year.  Starting off the year with the Covid-19 Corona virus that shut just about every bmx track across the nation down to the current crazy weather patterns.  At Richfield Park BMX, we started our race season nearly 2 months late.   The late start put us 8 races in the whole and caused us to bite the bullet an reschedule our SCR qualifier.  We then had to reschedule again due to nearly two days of rain that worked it's way into the early evening on our race day.  Certainly not happy with rescheduling a second time.  To go with the pandemic problem the rainy weather patterns disrupted our practice and race schedule.  Mother Nature was striking back at us for all the times we beat her at her guessing game and got in races no other tracks would attempt telling the rider base that the races would be taking place.

So, this was the year she got her revenge and has spoiled our fun to the point we are determined to get in our races despite her nasty attitude.  With barely two months left to go in our short season, we have a Warnicke Scholarship Race coming up and our Annual Chili Cook-Off Contest.  Check our Facebook Group page for updates on what will be taking place in the month of October at Richfield Park BMX.  We are looking at including a fundraiser with our Chili Cookoff Contest to help a youngster afflicted with Cancer.  We hope to make it a day to remember with more than just the usual racing.  Could possibly be some Big Wheel Races on the Strider Track.    Both Adult and the Younger Generation might want to try seeing who can cross the finish line first on a plastic tripod with wheels.  Until then, here are some pics of a bmxican that I miss.  Gene Heleybyck passed away a short time ago.  I dug up some pictures to remind us of how time can catch us all off guard.  Check out the pics in the Media section
