There has been a lot of activity going on during the offseason this year.  The Louisville Sports Commission has been working hard advocating for Derby CIty BMX to bring us a state of the art Supercross Track in addition to improving our current facility.  The Sports Commission has been raising money through donations and sponsorships in addition to negotiating with USA BMX, local contractors and architects.  This is a HUGE investment into our facility!!  The improvement will involve a first straight that will have two lanes and two starting hills.  An 8 meter supercross hill and a new 3 meter hill, similar to what we have now.  In addition the first turn will be moved further back.

There are both pros and cons to a project this big.  By updating our facility, it will ensure the Labor Day National Event remains in Louisville for the foreseeable future.  In addition, the improved track will draw more participants, not only to our National event, but to our local races as well.  The con being, we are going to loose a significant portion of our season.  This project will be weather dependent and is projected to take 8-12 weeks. This project is scheduled to start the first week of April.  Obviously this is going to shorten our season, but we believe it's a small price to pay for the upgraded facility.

We will post updates on the rebuild as it progresses.  Thank you for your patience and understanding!!
