Sponsorship & Donation Opportunities
Letter from the President
Okeeheelee BMX is a non-profit 501(c) organization. Over the past 25 years we have thrived on the help of our volunteers, sponsors and generous donations. In 2018, Okeeheelee BMX was awarded top 5 track in the country, #1 track in the East and #1 Track in Florida (For the fifth time) by USA BMX. We are overachievers and we want to do better in 2019.
We are constantly trying to improve the experience that riders and families have at our track. In addition to the changes you have seen recently, we would also like to add permanent shade and fans to our hill and build a permanent structure for our office and bathrooms. Many of our goals are lofty and, in some cases, expensive. We need your help. We purposefully keep our practice and race fees as low as possible to continue to make BMX affordable to all families.
This is where you, our parents, families, tradesmen, and local business come in. Helping can come in many forms. Volunteering at the track on practice or race nights is one inexpensive way. If you volunteer 12 times you will receive a practice card good for 10 free practices ($30 value). We also have sponsorship opportunities for local businesses that wish to get involved on banners, on our website as well as on promotional fliers.
Though the almighty dollar is nice, often times what we need is people who can get things done. Sometimes we may need an electrician or A/C repair, maybe a skid steer operator, roofer, IT person or a person with contacts in the media. We don’t know who you are. If there is an area you think you can help us, please let us know.
For those who don’t wish to volunteer during practice or racing, a donation (yes this is a shameless hand out-stretched) is another way you can help. We are a 501(c) organization. In addition to cash contributions, we are often in need of used computer equipment, building materials depending on the project. All your donations are tax deductible. Please visit our Okeeheelee BMX Wish List page (here)
In closing, remember every one of us at the track is a volunteer. Take inventory of your resources. If there is a way to help us through volunteering, sponsorship or donation anything you can offer is greatly appreciated.
President, Okeeheelee BMX Parents Council, Inc.
