We are excited to announce a new rider development program designed specifically for new riders in their 1st or 2nd season of BMX Racing. We will be working on more Advanced Rider clinics in the coming weeks.

The clinic sessions will be available first come first serve every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Two sessions per day. 5:00-6:00pm and 6:15-7:15pm. Riders need to arrive and be ready to start prior to the start of the session. Advanced signup will be made available.

We will limit to 5 riders per session to ensure maximum instruction for each rider.

The first week August 20th-24th,  All sessions will be conducted as a New Rider Assessments and introduction to BMX Racing. All riders must complete an assessment before signing up for any of the clinics.

Following Weeks - Monday is Level 1 riders, Wednesday is Level 2 riders, Friday is Level 3 riders. We will alter these as riders develop and demand dictates ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities to participate.

  • Level 1: Rider is able to complete a lap on the track, standing partially or not at all

  • Level 2: Rider is able to complete a lap, standing and pedaling. Some balance in the gate, very basic demonstration of pumping

  • Level 3: Rider completing laps, balances in gate at length, demonstrating some basic pumping and other basic race skills.

New Riders can start at any time but will need to complete the Assessment and New Rider Intro to BMX Racing will continue every Thursday at 6pm following the first week of the program.

We will create a roster of riders completing the assessment, and we will use this to track progress and recommend moving from Level to Level.

Clinics will attempt to build on previous weeks teachings but participation every week is not mandatory and ad-hoc participation after initial assessment is accepted.
