2020 Track Sponsorship

My name is Russell Edwards and I am the Treasurer at Westmoreland BMX

Westmoreland BMX is a nonprofit group helping children excel in many areas of Bicycle Motocross Sports. The sport of BMX is one of skill and determination that can be very important to a child’s self-esteem, endurance, commitment, and self-satisfaction, not to mention a great form of exercise. Westmoreland BMX is one of the most historical tracks in Bicycle Motocross in the U.S. It was formed in 1976, formerly known as Markle BMX. It has been visited by thousands of people every year from all across the eastern U.S. Westmoreland BMX Association is a parent/volunteer operated organization that strives to create a fun and a safe track for our riders. BMX has been around for well over 35 years and has become a popular sport, even added to the Olympics!

Each year our organization holds various events for competition that gives the opportunity to raise money to support our local track. Not only do our local members attend such evens with friends and family, but races such as our state qualifier brings in people from all over the state that brings in 700 + riders and family members. This year we have the opportunity to host the DK Bikes Gold Cup Finals which will host riders from all of the Northeast. We anticipate up to 700 riders and their families to attend. This race will bring in racers from Maine down to Kentucky.

We are seeking financial assistance from businesses and community members such as yourself to help defray costs of operation and maintenance expenses for the racing season and help promote your local business in the area. Though the track is located in Northmoreland Park, part of the Westmoreland and County parks, we receive no financial support from the County Parks and Recreation Department. Operating expenses include track rebuilding and maintenance, property upkeep, preparation fees, local permits, insurance, rider awards and apparel. With the help of the community and local businesses, Westmoreland BMX can continue to grow and help the future generations of BMX riders. We also encourage all of our sponsors to come out and see a race, bring your kids or family members out to try and race. Also, if you would be interested in setting up a both at our State Race or Gold Cup Final to promote your local business even more we encourage it!

Please see below for the various levels of sponsorship that last a year:
