We held our first ever state qualifer race on Saturday, August 9, 2014.  We had 204 riders and 46 motos.  Our biggest race yet!

Registration was from 11:30 - 1:30, allowing plenty of time for riders coming in from around the state to get to us.  The USA BMX website gave the times as 11 - 1, and we apologize for the inconvienience.  We opened up registration just after 11 am to accommodate those waiting.  We had final motos posted and racing began at 2:15 pm.

Racers came from Fountain, Boulder, Dacono, Ft. Collins, Colorado Springs, Cortez, Durango, Denver, Lakewood, Littleton, Grand Junction, Fruita, Eagle, Gypsum, Wolcott, Vail, Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Woody Creek, Basalt, and Carbondale!

We had some clouds and little sprinkles during the race, which were much appreciated by our specators.  We had around 500 people at the track!  Concessions sold Hickory House bbq pulled pork sandwiches, chips, candy and drinks.  We had adult sized Crown Mountain T-shirts for sale and long sleeve tees in all sizes.  We'll order more of the tees for kids and adults!

We had a great team of local volunteers helping us make the big race run well, even our medical tent was staffed by race parent paramedics, and we had wonderful help from Grand Valley track operator Kristi Adams and Eagle County BMX track ops, Jay & Sari Lucas.

We loved having riders from around Colorado discover our track and look forward to State Finals weekend at Grand Valley on August 23 - 24, 2014.
