ABOUT THE GOLDEN CRANK AWARDS:
Created in 1994, in the absence of the BMX Action Nora Cup, ABA's American BMXer magazine began their own "popularity" awards. Using a classic pair of 1-piece cranks dipped in gold, the infamous Golden Crank award was invented. There always has been four 'Cranks handed out - one for Rookie Pro, Pro Racer, Team and Bike.
The Golden Crank Awards has always been voted on by the fans; members of the ABA and USA BMX. Voting is done online.
