USA BMX is excited to test a new race day schedule for the USA BMX Pro Series. In an effort to highlight the professional athletes of BMX racing and create an entertaining viewing experience for fans on site and at home, the Derby City Nationals and the Legacy Nationals will feature a Pro start time of 6 PM on Friday and Saturday, creating a “Pro Show” race atmosphere.

As the BMX stars emerge from the Olympics, this is the perfect testing grounds for a modified race schedule format.   We look forward to elevating the platform the pros compete on, and can’t wait to see how these changes develop as we firm up the  2025 USA BMX Pro Series.

Much like the well known USA BMX Pro Schedule, which is typically released minutes after posting motos each day, the riders will compete on a set time schedule.  For both Louisville, KY and Tulsa, OK these icons of the sport will showcase the pinnacle riding at 6PM each Friday & Saturday of those events.   While this schedule is still in a testing phase for these 2 events, we hope to accomplish elevating and highling the pro class and racers while limiting the pauses and delays to amateur riders during the early rounds of racing each day.

In addition to the elevation of the pro riders, we will continue our quest to create a centered media presence in the hosting markets and having a consistent schedule known well in advance of the event will create a premier presence for the riders competing in the pro class.

We encourage riders and families to return to the track and attend the pro evening show at each of these races as we look to create a great show and experience for the riders and community attending.  There will be no change to the amateur racing schedule at each of these races beyond the typical and customary hold patterns for the pro schedule format.

If you will be in attendance in Kentucky or Oklahoma, we encourage you to come out and cheer on the riders!
