Rockford Gears Up for High-Speed Action as USA BMX Midwest Nationals Arrive
The competition comes to Rockford June 19-21 as BMX athletes battle for national points during Stop No. 17 of the 2026 USA BMX National Series.
TULSA, Okla. (June 15, 2026)—The spotlight will shine on Rockford June 19-21 as the 2026 USA BMX National Series arrives at Rockford BMX for the Midwest Nationals. Drawing hundreds of riders and spectators from across the country and beyond, the event will showcase three days of intense competition, athleticism and unforgettable racing moments. As athletes chase national rankings and championship aspirations, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the vibrant energy and close-knit community that define the sport of BMX racing.
The Midwest Nationals mark stop no.17 of the 2026 USA BMX National Series. The three-day BMX competition will be held at Rockford BMX at 4950 Safford Rd in Rockford. Races begin at 1 p.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.
The Midwest Nationals have also become a Father's Day weekend tradition for many BMX families, offering a unique opportunity for parents and children to spend the holiday together at the track.
"The USA BMX Midwest Nationals is one of the biggest weekends of the year for Rockford BMX. Months of preparation go into making sure our facility, volunteers, and staff are ready to welcome thousands of riders and families from across the country,” said Garret Rapp, co-track operator and public relations at Rockford BMX. “We look forward to showcasing not only our track, but the entire Rockford community. It's exciting to see so many people travel from out of town to experience everything our city has to offer, and we're proud to continue a tradition that has become such an important event for both the sport of BMX and Rockford. Special thanks to our partners Rockford Park District, GoRockford and USA BMX for helping bring 40 years of this event to the city of Rockford."
The USA BMX National Series is one of the premier competitive circuits in the sport, bringing together riders from across the country to compete for national rankings and championship points. Throughout the season, athletes of all ages and skill levels travel to events nationwide, with every race serving as a key step toward earning a national title. Each gate drop, lap and finish line crossing in Rockford will contribute to the season-long journey toward national championship glory.
