USA BMX is excited to officially kick off the process for our new Coaches Certification and The First 10 Weeks Coaching Program.  Although the web portal is still in it's final stages of being finished Coaching Candidates can complete the three prerequisites needed to start the program and get their license.
If you are interested in becoming a coach, please click on the included link at the bottom of the page to download and print off the first step of the process.  The T.O. Letter of Recommendation Form.  This form serves as the first step and a candidates gateway into the program.  Track Operators serve on the front lines of the USA BMX Local Programs and they know the riders, parents and volunteers better than anybody, because of the this all candidates must have the T.O. Letter of Rec. form signed before anything else.
Once a Candidate has the form signed, they can scan it, (or take a clear picture of it) and send it [email protected],  when Justin has received your T.O. Letter of Rec. form and proof of Red Cross or American Heart Association Adult and Pediatric Basic First Aid and CPR (scanned or photocopies of your cards) you will be sent a link and instructions for our Online Back Ground Check system, after this is completed and you are "green lighted" you will be granted access to the Certification and First Ten Weeks Program where you will be able to pay your coaching fee $60, view materials and take your test. When the online test is passed a one (1) year coaching license will be issued to you.  Coaching Licenses will need to be renewed each year, Back Ground Checks and First Aid Certifications will need to be renewed every 2 years as well as Continuing Education Units (TBA).
Please take a moment to download and review to both the F.A.Q. and T.O. Letter of Recommendations form.
If you have any other questions please feel free to contact Justin Travis
