Duke City BMX is proud to present our RACE FOR LIZ on Sunday, October 30, 2022.  This will be a double point race with proceeds being donated to the medical expenses of our former track operator Liz Fernandez.  Liz was our track operator from sometime in the 1990’s until 2019.  She was actively involved at Duke City BMX for over 30 years and is missed greatly.  For the past few years Liz has been battling cancer and has spent the last few months in a hospital in Denver as this was the only place to receive the specialized care that she needed.  Her family reports that she is improving every day.

Duke City BMX wants to support Liz during this time of uncertainty.  We have received approval from USABMX to hold the double point RACE FOR LIZ and make it a race that both current and former members can participate in.  For this race NO MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.  What this means is we have received a special exemption to the One Day Membership requirement to allow any former member to sign a waiver and participate in the event.

We will hold the regular balance bikes, cruiser and class motos and will have available special open class racing to allow for riders of all abilities to race and support the cause.

Donations will be collected for the entire month of October.  Please bring your cash donations to signups.

Please pass on the word about this special race.
