    The pro and amateur hills at the Oldsmar BMX Supercross are now flattened. Next project phase will be going vertical! Subscribe to our new Oldsmar BMX Supercross e-newsletter to receive current information on the track rebuild at - just select BMX NEWS.


    The re-build of the Oldsmar BMX Supercross Track is now happening! The starting hills have been removed as the first phase of the construction project begins. We look forward to bringing more photos to everyone as the project progresses.        


    The City of Oldsmar is excited to announce that the Notice to Proceed was provided to the contractor on Monday, March 8, 2021, to initiate the re-build of the BMX starting hills.  The project is scheduled to be completed within 330 days, and we look forward to riding again in February of 2022!  Be sure to check back for updates throughout the re-build process.


    OLDSMAR BMX RECONSTRUCTION APPROVED During the January 5, 2021 Oldsmar City Council meeting, city leaders unanimously approved awarding J. Kokolakis Contracting, Inc. a Design-Build Agreement to replace the BMX Retaining Wall at the Oldsmar BMX Track.  This project includes demolishing the starting hills and observation deck on the northside of the track area.  Anticipated timeline from start to completion is approximately a year.   • Track Update September 11, 2019

    OLDSMAR BMX TRACK UPDATE The City of Oldsmar has received the final assessment report for the BMX retaining walls from the engineering firm.  Based on the results of this report, the walls of the hill structure will require extensive repair.  At this point, we are examining several structural options to renovate/replace the structure.  Unfortunately, the conditions require that the track remained closed until the structure is renovated.   • Track Update July 16, 2019

    The evaluation of the BMX structure is currently on schedule.  On-site testing was completed during the last week of June, and samples are currently at the lab.   Once the lab work is complete, the engineering analysis will take place. A draft report of findings is due late August. We appreciate your continued patience.  

  • Oldsmar BMX Get Together

    Riders and families are invited to join us for a morning of games and pump track action at Oldsmar BMX on Saturday, July 13 from 9-11am. We will not be getting on the big track, but helmets are still required; bring your full face or a half shell. We’ll have a few bites, but feel free to bring a snack or drinks to share. Can’t wait to see you there!

    Track Update - June 10, 2019 The engineering assessment is fully in progress.  Currently, soil tests are being conducted to determine how the soil within the hill structure is performing.  We hope to have the assessment completed by August.  Thank you for your support and patience during this process.
