On Sunday, November 5th Richmond BMX will host its annual Double Points Luck Cup in honor of Art Luck. Once again, we will combine this event with the East Coast's favorite old-school race event, the Duel of the Decades Open!!

Sponsors include Mongoose, GT, Powers Bike Shop, Camp Woodward, Flite, and Damian Fulton (creator of Radical Rick), and Rad Share

Each of our sponsors has donated some AMAZING products to be raffled off, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Power Over Parkinson's, a local nonprofit organization supporting those with Parkinson's by offering physical activities and exercise events free of charge. Raffle prizes include:

  • Mongoose Fireball SS (value: $1,399)
  • GT Pro Series 26" wheelie bike (value: $600)
  • GT Fueler 22" park bike (value: $620)
  • Woodward FREE camp weeks (value: $1,799)
  • Flite pads, shirts, donuts, etc (value: TBD)
  • original art by Damian Fulton + Radical Rick merchandise (value: TBD)
  • much, much more

This year's Duel of the Decades Open:

15 & up old school open: era correct bikes from the 1970's - 1990's. No repop bikes or modern/carbon parts. New tires, chains, grips and cables are fine (this race is sketchy enough as it is). Qualifying rounds for each decade will transfer to a combined main event where the top 3 riders will win prize packages thanks to Flite & GT.

14 & under Repop Open: for the kids, this race is one lap for all the glory. The top 3 riders will win some epic prizes thanks to Flite and Mongoose. Vintage bikes are okay in this one, and we'll have several Mongoose repops available as loaners.

For the first time EVER - The Sidehack open!! If you have a sidehack and a partner, we hope to see you. One lap of pure insanity on 3 wheels with prizes from Flite and Powers Bike Shop.

Schedule: Due to daylight savings, we will start 1 hour earlier than our usual race schedule:

  • 10:30am-11:30am: Open Practice
  • 11:30am - 11:50: Old School & Side Hack practice
  • Noon: Parade Lap & Balance Bikes
  • 12:15pm - Racing starts

*All open event qualifiers, single laps, and finals will be held throughout the day. The schedule is dependant on the number of sign-ups
