You read that right! We're racing Friday (weather permitting).

THANK YOU to everyone who has worked thru the limited practice sessions with us.  Because that has gone so well, we are excited to announce that we are getting back to racing this Friday, June 19!

It will look different than what we are used to but right now we are all adapting to the necessary changes to make racing happen.  Please read this post carefully as there is a lot of information!!!

· The most exciting part, registration is open NOW! Head on over to https://bsbmx-sign-up.square.site/  (BALANCE BIKES and PASS-HOLDERS use this link https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0B49ABAD2FA6FF2-6192020 )

***Registration will close for Friday’s race on THURSDAY, JUNE 18th at 6:00 PM. Motos will be posted via live motos by 7:00 PM on Thursday evening. Go to bluespringsbmx.com and click the live moto link at the top of the page to check your motos (when motos are posted you will see a red bar that says Live Motos, you will click that to see motos).

· Review your rider's info carefully.  Make sure their Name, Age and Proficiency are correct and that they are registered on the correct bike type, ie Balance Bike, Class or Cruiser. If you have any corrections they MUST be emailed to [email protected] by 8pm Thursday evening, no exceptions.

· By 8:30pm corrected motos will be posted. If we have more than 100 registered riders we will divide into block racing times. If we have less then 100 riders we will race in one block.

· A one-block race will have practice from 6PM to 7PM with racing to follow.

· A two-block race will be divided by motos and will be announced on Thursday night. Each block will be given a 30-minute practice with racing to follow. Block ONE will have practice from 6:00-6:30 racing to follow (start to finish). Block TWO will practice from 8-8:30 with racing to follow (start to finish).

· Please do NOT enter the fenced-in area before your scheduled block time.

· Each rider will be allowed ONE spectator inside the fence.

· Balance bike riders will race, on the big track, at the very beginning of racing and will race start to finish at that time. The balance bike track will be CLOSED during racing to help us stay within our required rider count.

· Staging will look a little different as well. Only five motos will stage at a time on the hill.  We will pre-stage 10 motos in advance outside the north gate (it's the gate between the strider track and the conex). Riders should wear their helmet at all times while in staging. We are limited to 50 riders in that area. If your rider can stage themselves, please let them! We will run the race a little bit slower to help ensure riders do not miss their moto. BUT please pay attention and help us keep the race moving by having your rider to the pre-stage early.

· At the completion of each race, riders will be directed out of the lower gate as they come off of the track to help us keep the rider count inside the fence down with moving between pre-staging and exiting the track.

· Parents, we are asking you, as a spectator (limit 1 per rider) to enter and exit from the gate nearest to the playground.  Enter when your rider moves to the hill for staging and exit as soon as their race is over. Picnic tables and bleachers will not be available inside the fence. Please feel free to bring a chair if you would like and set it up outside the fence.  We are fortunate to have a lot of grassy area around the outside of the fence, please use it to find yourself a good spot to watch races. We know these guidelines are not ideal for everyone and we respect if you decide it's best for you to stay home until we are able to get completely opened back up.

· A current membership is required. You can renew your membership at USABMX.com

· Riders must wear helmets, long sleeves, long pants, and close-toed shoes.

· Concessions will be CLOSED.

We are looking forward to getting back to Friday nights under the lights!  We ask you to please be patient with us as we work through this.  We anticipate some kinks and ask you to remember to be kind to us as we do our very best to navigate these changes. Let us know if you have any questions.
