Hello! I'm WIlliam and I grew up riding bmx when I was 16. Riding bikes was always something I enjoyed and got into BMX racing when I was 16 and continued it until the age of 18 when their was just the ABA. Times have changed since then. I recall getting my race number at the track drawn on a paper plate and taping it to my handle bars for my first race. We also use to habve to look at the back of BMXer magazine to see your points every month from your races.
I would race and practice at Peacon Park bmx track in Orangevale, Ca. This track is however now gone. I also use to race at Oak Creek bmx track, and when they had it in the season Folsom bmx track. The Folsom bmx track was limited and went on for only one or two seasons as it was in the Folsom Rodeo arena.
The times have sure changed and I am getting back into the race with my friend, and the SIdehack Legend, Kelly Croffoot. I will be racing the cuiser, and 35-40 novice class instead of the 20" that I use to race. I look forward to getting out on the track!
