The 2013 WINTERNATIONALS - held in Phoenix on March 1st, at the infamous Black Mountain BMX track, will play host this year to the USA Cycling Collegiate Championships. The collegiate class is a Challenge/20” class, which will take place Saturday, March 2 at Black Mountain BMX. Collegiate riders will practice with their respective age groups on Friday and Saturday. As of April 1st, USA BMX will be eliminating the need for separate memberships for class and cruiser. The new USA BMX membership will work for both bikes. Prior to April 1st, it was necessary to purchase two memberships; $45 for a 20 inch membership and then $35 for a cruiser membership. The new membership will allow all USA BMX members to participate in both class and cruiser with the purchase of one $60 annual membership.

The 2013 National Season kicked off in Reno with a whole lot of new jerseys, new rides and an impressive group of Rookie Pros making their debut. Despite snowy weather outside; with 169 motos for the Friday night pre-race, it looks like this season opener is going to be a big one.
