I had not been on a bmx track since 1982 (40 years)! Then, my friend Mark Darcy talked me into racing at the Frogtown vintage reunion race.. I had a great time racing there, then two weeks later Art Ornelas from Race Inc offered me a spot on the factory team for 2023 and set me up with a new Race Inc 24" Cruiser! After that, Mark and I Spent the day putting the bike together just about one week before the Silver Dollar Nationals, I was hoping Vegas wasnt my first race, but with the weather, thats exactly what happened! In the end, lack of time on the bike really proved problematic. I made small mistakes each day that kept me out of the mains, but Sunday I did make the semi.. with some trianing and time on the bike, I am hoping to be a differnt racer in the near future..
