That's right, my last official NBL BMX race was over 30 years ago as a defending State Champion. Recently our kids decided they wanted to race BMX and they told me I was going to race with them! So, here I am in the 46-50 Cruiser Class trying to set an example for our racers. I raced with a Redline and GT in the NBL and I had a GT 26" Pro Series already, so I decided to give it a shot. I quickly found out the geometry, weight and smooth tyres weren't a good fit for our local track or most others. Thanks to Dans Comp I found a Redline MX 24 that will be great enough for me to enjoy turning laps at Spartanburg BMX. We ended up having our first official USA BMX race(which I rode the GT) at Blanchard Woods BMX last Saturday. The thrill of bumping the starting gate, racing for the holeshot, pumping the rythym section and pushing for the finish line definitely hasn't changed!!!
