March 12, 2017 Well TJ and Morgan kicked off the season at Richmond BMX with great results! 1. 1st place. TJ had total points and won all three races - TJ was on his game and was strategizing during practice by running different lines, thinking about different 'what if' scenarios, watching other racers lines, and best of all loving BMX! - Holeshots in all races. 2. 1st place(race up a/7-yo's). Morgan was also total points but came in second in his first race but won the remaining races. - Morgan dumped in practice coming out of turn three. His pride was hurt more than he was and we simply told him it happens. - Morgan was close in the first race and we simply talked to him about trying different lines but it didn't matter because he got Holeshots the last two races and stayed out front. - Morgan learned that he could push through a crash and got a huge confidence boost. The best part of the day was seeing both TJ and Morgan showing great sportsmanship and fist bumping and talking to all riders in their classes. During Morgan's last race rider #2 went down and he and Morgan must of had a three minute conversation at the finish line with the rider. They were pointing at the track and conversing like they were at the Olympics. Thanks to Richmond BMX for the great hospitality. The track was in great shape and the boys like the speed of the track. Up next. Race #2 March 17, 2017 season opener at our home track, SOUTHERN MARYLAND BMX right here in our home town of St. Mary's County, Maryland.
