I got to visit the fantastic Hire Park BMX in Warsaw, IN, yesterday, June 10. That start is very cool. The gate drops, and wow, you are flying down a steep hill that drops steeper. They tell you to use the brake the first time or two because if you aren't ready, your speed will launch you over that first table-top! It's a rush, and I look forward to doing it again!

The downer is that in my total-points moto, I was first in the second round... until I went too low in the last turn and hit some loose stuff. Okay, I also looked to the side instead of ahead because I'm still twitchy about being with other riders in turns. (Hey, I'm used to being in last, so I usually have turns to myself!) Luckily, even though I'm banged up, it's just bruising on my shoulder, I think. Anyway, the people at the track were wonderful, and after I finished that lap, kids and adults checked in to see if I was okay or needed anything. Shout-out to Lindsey (I can't remember her last name) for helping pack up my canopy and get it into my van. Dan Rumple also, as he was as nice as could be. He also happens to be Bill Elkin's favorite BMX announcer. Get Dan a Nationals announcing spot!!!

It's a fun, technical track with a fast start. Loved it!
